Questions, answered

What is Chattr?

Chattr is an anonymous social feed for your university — posts, polls, confessions and campus chat, scoped to your uni so you only see your own campus. Built UK-first, launching campus by campus.

Who can join?

UK university students aged 18 or over. You sign up with your UK mobile number and confirm your university (.ac.uk) email address — that email is only used to prove you’re at your uni, and is never shown to anyone.

Is it really anonymous?

To other students, yes: posts and comments never carry your name, there are no public profiles, and nobody can look you up. Chattr itself can link content to accounts — that’s deliberate, so we can remove abuse, act on reports and keep the community safe.

Is it safe and moderated?

Yes. Chattr is 18+ only, every post, poll and comment passes an automated content filter before it appears, and anything can be reported in two taps. Reports go to a moderation queue reviewed by real people, and serious safety issues are escalated with specialist procedures.

How do I get in?

Head to chattr.uk, enter your UK mobile number, type in the code we text you, then add your university email. If a friend sent you an invite link, join through it — invites unlock rewards for them.
